know when to call
let your fwnds know when you have a free moment, and see when they do too.
a close-friend app
fwnds helps long-distance friends find time to call, remember what’s happening in each other’s lives, and share the little updates along the way.
let’s give “keep in touch” a real chance.
thinking of you
from several inconvenient time zones awaythe long-distance problem
but... everyone gets busy, misses a call, and says “soon!!” month after month. :(
how fwnds helps
let your fwnds know when you have a free moment, and see when they do too.

send a small video yap and sprinkle in photos from life lately
there are no public profiles, follower counts, or suggestions for “people you may know”.
friends join your circle through private invite links. we recommend adding no more than 5 to 7 close friends.
no ads, no ai, and definitely no ai ads.

see your fwnds, their latest updates, and who has a free moment right now.

the useful details, plans, and yaps your fwnds choose to share.

keep birthdays, visits, trips, and everything worth looking forward to in one place.

send a quick video update and add a few photos from life lately.
we’re currently in private beta testing with a few friends.
we’re starting small on purpose.

no. fwnds is in a new category we’re calling “close-friend apps.” there are no influencers, public profiles, follower counts, or endless feeds. only human content from your close friends.
someone you genuinely want to hear from, call, make plans with, and keep up with through the ordinary parts of life. fwnds works best with a small circle, so we recommend adding no more than 5 to 7 people. remember these people will be able to see your address and other personal details.
only your close friends that you accept into your circle. you’ll be able to see everything about them that they’ll be able to see about you. nothing is public, not even your name.
a short video update you can record and sprinkle in some recent photos. it’s like giving a little powerpoint presentation about your life lately.
choose how long you’re free, and your fwnds will see that you’re around. since your fwnds know exactly how long you have free, there is no pressure. when the time runs out, your availability switches off automatically.
fwnds is currently in closed beta testing. join the waitlist and we’ll let you know when more spots become available.
not yet. the closed beta is currently available on iphone through testflight.
no. notifications come from real people in your circle, not from an algorithm wondering why you haven’t opened the app today. you can also turn them off whenever you like.
no, there are already better apps for that. fwnds helps you know when to reach out and gives you more to talk about when you do.
your friendships are priceless. keeping an app running is not. fwnds is free during the private beta. when it launches publicly, it will have a small monthly subscription. sorry if you hate that, but it’s the only way i can align my interests with yours and avoid becoming an evil corporation that sells your data. the fee will be very small. just enough to keep the app’s lights on, the data private, and the evil corporation storyline safely cancelled.
